Project Update Monday
I started some new projects this weekend. I have big plans for myself this week.
I was asked to bake a cake for a child’s first birthday. It’s my first attempt at a “professional” cake, but I feel I’m up to the task. I’m doing a trial run tomorrow though just to work out the kinks.
I got all my supplies and I baked the top tier. True to my fashion, I didn’t follow the baking pan instructions to the letter, and got a puffed up cake. So when they said measure out the batter, they meant measure out the batter.
I also started a Valentine’s themed chipboard book. The book is made by BoBunny, which is one of my favorites. I got a white book and a pink book and alternated the pages. I covered them in paper from Hobby Lobby’s “Making Spirits Bright” pack. Although it’s technically Christmas paper, it has pink and red and white and greens and blues. I think it’ll work for Valentine’s Day too. I’m going to call it “Love Is” and take from the famous Bible verse from Corinthians.
I can’t wait to show you my adventures and finished projects from this week. Wish me luck!
