Don't Wake The Kids

And Other Rules for Motherhood

Project Update Monday

on February 1, 2010

Warning! Cakepop cuteness. Don’t view on an empty stomach.

Also, I cleaned out a drawer in my kitchen, and I have awesome news to share!

A friend ordered some cakepops for her friend’s wedding shower on Saturday. I had spotted a fleur-de-lis candy mold at the party supply store, and now I had a great reason to buy it. I hope the party was fun!

FlyLady uses the 15-minute principle, and I decided to implement it on my drawer full of Box Tops I’ve been saving for the kids’ school. I’ve probably saved them up for over a year. So I set my timer for 15 minutes and went after it. OK it took more than 15 minutes, more like 45, but once I got started I just had to finish.

Finally, it’s not a project as much as it is the beginning of a multitude of ones.

    You’re so sweet!

A crop is equivalent to a quilting bee but for scrapbooking. The store provides a space, and you bring all your stuff to make scrapbook pages. You have access to their tools as well like die-cut machines, idea books, Cricut, and computer. And of course you can buy paper, embellishments, and other supplies.

It’s super fun! The all-day crop runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but it goes by so fast. You should come too.

Such a beautiful new blog! And lovely, yummy cakepops. I guess you cut about 110. What is an all day crop?

Wow, so pretty! I bet they loved them!

That was quite a collection of box tops….I’m guessing you had about 205.

Yeah, you got a Cricut, can’t wait to see what you create with it!

Are you going to the all-day crop on the 20th? I think I can make it now, the class I had is cancelled.
