Date Night Ideas

065 Before I became a Supermom, it was just James and me. It’s important to take time for each other. I know how hard it is. You’ve had a busy week. Your energy is sapped. There was a time we didn’t make our relationship a priority. We were snapping at each other and drifting apart. It’s not uncommon for parents of young children. They take so much energy it’s hard to have energy for anything else.

It’s essential to give priority to your relationship with your spouse. We’ve been fortunate to finally find a solution to a lack of babysitter options. The drop-off center has become our children’s favorite place to be. And James and I get to spend some uninterrupted time alone.

Date Night doesn’t have to be anything fancy. We’re homebodies, so sometimes our Date Night is just James cooking a special meal for us and watching a movie. Sometimes it’s dinner out and trip to the grocery store. We like to go to the bookstore and then get gelato too. I found out my favorite paint your own pottery place is open late on Fridays as a Date Night option, but I haven’t been able to talk James into that yet.

Movies, concerts, plays, a stroll, people watching, whatever you enjoy together, just schedule it. Make it a priority today.
