SuperMom Support
You can’t be a SuperMom without a good support system.
I was thinking about what makes being a SuperMom possible. There are lots of things, but first to my mind is that I have been blessed with extraordinary child care.
We’ve been with the same lady for over a decade. She’s a Superwoman! I cannot sing her praises enough. She raises her great-grandchildren and cares for other people’s children. She helps her neighbors and her family members. A Godly woman, she has been such a blessing to our family. She dearly loves each child in her care.
I have never had to worry about my children’s welfare, which I know is a luxury in this day and age. You hear too many horror stories. It’s hard to find someone or a place you can trust.
When Jumpshot was a baby, I was against daycare, but I had to work. What choice did I have? So like many other parents, we had to search for childcare. I didn’t even know how to begin my search. We began with a lady my mother-in-law knew, who was wonderful. When she had to give up her daycare business to take care of her elderly husband, I didn’t know what I was going to do.
As luck would have it, her neighbor across the street also kept children in her home. And we’ve been there ever since.
Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to help provide for my family. As our youngest has started camp and will begin school in the fall, it’s hard to leave her. We’re leaving her nest, and I couldn’t begin to thank her for all she has done for my children and me. I love her, and I hope those of you who work outside the home are blessed as much as I have been.
She’s been such a big part of our lives for so long, how can I even begin to show my appreciation? Any suggestions?

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a mother. God blessed me with three wonderful children, who keep me going. My husband and I have been married for 12 years, and he’s my best friend.
