Don't Wake The Kids

I'm a Supermom and so are you!

Weekly Update

006The whining! Oh the whining!

It doesn’t help that Diva is sitting here next to me whining about her legs hurting. Yesterday was the first water day at camp, and I think she overdid it. She claims she needs to go to the doctor. You should hear this.

It reminds me of when Jumpshot was little and freaked out every time he got the hiccups. He thought something was really wrong with him and begged to go to the doctor.

008 It’s been another busy week, but I have no idea what I would do if it weren’t. My work computer crashed again. I had a PTO board meeting to prepare for. Jumpshot had basketball camp this week, which culminated in a busted lip in the final game. Although he didn’t win a prize, he parlayed his busted lip into getting a book bag.

007 Diva went skating, made an ocean in a bottle, and is about to lose another tooth. And I believe Manchild had the best week ever. He is loving camp.

Finally I got some great news that we will be getting a hedgehog in a few weeks. I’ve wanted one for years, and now I’ll have one of my very own. Plus it’ll give me something to blog about.

Time to get some cleaning done so I can play. Have a great week!

Don’t Wake the Kids is a blog featuring Sally and sometimes James, a husband and wife team, talking about their life – the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Together, they will put their life on display, imperfections and all, with the hope that you will find it uplifting, entertaining, and amusing.

About Sally

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a mother. God blessed me with three wonderful children, who keep me going. My husband and I have been married for 12 years, and he’s my best friend.

I work full-time outside of the home and try to volunteer as much as I can at my children’s school. I love to bake and accidentally found out about cakepops, and I can’t stop making them. I love to scrapbook, when I find the time. I also like to crochet, but I’ve only made scarves. I use it to pass the time while waiting at the doctor’s office or practice or for meetings to start.

I try to have it all, and I hope my blog lends support to other moms who mess up, want to pull out their hair, but who wouldn’t want to trade their lives for anything – just like me.

People ask me how do I do it all. I am always flattered by this, and my answer is always the same – I don’t sleep. I only get a lot done after everyone falls asleep. James came up with the name of our blog Don’t Wake The Kids because of my nocturnal nature.
